Weather Reports Elder George Walker (dec)

Monday, April the sixth, 2009 under
clear skies, wind from the north west
at seventeen mph, with the tempera-

                                        ture at forty-five degrees.

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the

redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the
        enemy;"(Psalms 107:1-2)

The way this is worded it is pretty clear that David is speaking to those that have
experienced being redeemed. In this case they were redeemed from their enemies.

They had been delivered from them and set free. Then tells them that the Lord is
good, for his mercy endureth forever. "Now let the redeemed of the Lord say so."

What about the good news of our redemption, about us being delivered from the lake
of fire forever and forever, from being delivered from what we deserve to be deliv-
ered to a place that we do not deserve. As we experience our redemption from time to

time, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so."

Friday, April the 10th, 2009 under clear to partly cloudy skies, wind from the

north west at eighteen mph, with the temperature at forty-eight degrees.

"But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased." (Psalms
        115:3)

As we read through the scriptures, we find this thought over and over again that
brings forth the sovereignty of God. So much of the time we hear people say if God
did or does that he would be unfair. Yet we still have these words; "He hath done

whatsoever he hath pleased." The sovereignty of God carries the thought that not only
does he have the power to do what pleases him, but also has the right, because he is

God. If we question God the same could be said to us when he spoke to Job; "Where
was thou when I created the heavens, flung the stars in the sky, made man out of the
dust of the earth, and breathed into him the breath of life?" We have done nothing to

deserve his grace, done nothing to obligate God to save us, nor anything that would
make God want to save us. "But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever

        he hath pleased."
