P. 31
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh
not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand-
eth in the way of the sinner, nor sitteth in the
seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the
law of the LORD; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night. And he shall be like a
tree planted by the rivers of water, that brin-
geth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also
shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth
shall prosper.
Paul says in 2Cor. 5:20, how he, and such who minister the truth of the
gospel to the people of God, are as ambassadors of to them from God,
and the Lord Jesus Christ; teaching them to know of the finished work
of Christ in the world, and appearing in the presence of God for them,
how He had accomplished what the Father had sent Him to do (To rec-
oncile us to Himself by Jesus Christ... 2Cor 5:18). And how His glorious
completion of that work set us peace with God through Him, concern-
ing our eternal salvation.
Can you imagine sometimes, what a wonderful feeling it must be to the
minister of God, who brings the news of reconciliation, to the people of
God who are also reconciled to this glorious truth?
