Singing the Songs of Zion (continued)
“Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion;
and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and
sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” Isaiah 51:11
There is such great rejoicing in the church even to this day! That rejoicing is due to
the manifold goodness of our Lord! So sing! Sing all ye saints! Sing, both old and
young! Rejoice in His goodness! Oh, He is so precious to us! We cannot contain His
blessings in Zion, so sing! My grandfather, Elder J.A. Rowell, Sr. used to close asso-
ciations shouting “Sing on, singers! Pray on sisters! Preach on preachers!” I imagine
his rejoicing was such that he struggled to contain himself and wanted to encourage
those congregations to rejoice with him! So come with me and let us rejoice! Isaac
Watts penned the words that expresses our desires:
“Come we that love the Lord, and let our joys be known,
Join in a song with sweet accord, and thus surround the throne.
Then let our songs abound, and every tear be dry,
We’re marching through Immanuel’s ground,
to fairer worlds on high.”
Let’s get to marching, saints!

Tracing the Church of Christ from His baptism to modern times.
Tracing the path of the true church of God may seem like a maze
through history, but study will reveal an unbroken link all the way
back to the River Jordan and the baptism of Jesus. It is possible to
trace the history of the Primitive Baptists to the time of Christ.
Many have undertaken the task and found the route undeniable
through recorded histories. Elder R. A. Tindall (deceased) did
extensive research on the matter, utilizing numerous volumes to establish verifiable
links from today to the time when Christ walked the earth. Here is the chain his study
revealed.
