• Son, when you are choosing up sides; always choose God first; having Him makes everybody a winner!

  • Son, always remember, you are dependent solely on God, because you can't make perfect choices like He does.

  • Son, The reason it's so hard for you to make good choices, and so easy for God is; because God always knows what He will do is right, before He does it!

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking bread, and in prayers."(Acts 2:42

The ones that were pricked in the heart, the ones that received the word, the ones "who continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship who repented and were baptized, and that had received the gift of the Holy Ghost continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking bread, and in prayers.  It seems as if we are living in a time that self seems to be most important thing in our lives.  Self and our families activities seem to take the front seat.  By the time we take care of that, there is little time to devote any time to the church, to its` members, to the fellowship of the saints and much prayer for the church.  The early church continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship.  Our activities, our children's activities, our grandchildren' s activities should have its priorities in order.  What should come first in our lives, what should we teach our children and grandchildren?  God first, church second and in this order.  If followed we will be teaching our children what is healthy and how to have a happy family.  Any time that we put any activity of the world in front we are straying from the teaching of this verse and showing that we love something better than Christ and his church.  If we put Christ first there will always be time for us to spend some precious time with our children's activities.  Just a few thoughts this morning.

New Testament CHURCH ORDER beginning with John the Baptist, Matt. 3:1-2 then Jesus Christ Himself, especially the SERMON ON THE MOUNT – Matt. 5-7; then 12 Apostles – Matt. 10:2-4;  some were outstanding, such as Simon Peter, who we will accentuate much herein.  Following was the Apostle Paul directed primarily to us Gentles...

This is just an “overview” of the CLASS ROOM GOSPEL on Earth, primarily between JEWS and GENTILES -  There are NO GOSPEL CLASS ROOM in Eternal Heaven, but on earth such is directed only to the BORN-AGAIN Elect. Notice articulately herein: the bonds between the “Old” and the “New” dispensations were not suddenly snapped asunder, but suffered to become weaker and weaker until they entirely disappeared; upon he destruction of the Temple, when the “New Church” found herself “standing alone” and unconnected with any of the forms of the Levitical Worship” – Matt. 24:2.     The Apostle Peter was the predominate figure of this remarkable “Miracle” supernatural, but Divine Transitional Period.  Closing with this text – Matt. 16:18 – “Thou art Peter, and upon ts rock I will build my church; and the gates Of hell shall not prevail against it.” Part of V19 “And will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven.”   This is Jesus Himself speaking. So the outline of this writing is in Five Divisions, Miracles, Growth,  Conflict, The Resurrection and lastly the Transition.   We are all today in this TRANSITION.

A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes.  -Mark Twain

"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things, Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire of hell." (James 3:5-6)

Behold, how great a matter...

James give a good description of the tongue. I suppose the tongue has caused more trouble, it has started more fights, it has caused more hard feelings, and destroyed more friendships than any other thing else in the world. One slip of the tongue to the wrong person will spread faster and do more damage than the largest of grass or forest fires. It will even destroy the lives of those you might think a lot of. When it comes to the church after it has spread, after the damage is already done, it is very hard to find the source of where it started. Have you ever said something out of anger, and as soon as it came out of the mouth, you knew that you had already messed up? Yet it was to late and the fire had already got out of hand. Then the winds began to blow and the further it spreads the more damage it causes. O, that we could control our tongue, that we could say something good about those about us, or not say anything at all.
