My God did not put me here to die, but to

live the life He gave me in loving, living and

being a friend to all those grace has given me to love.

Life and Living

"And in the end, it is not the number of

years in your life that count.

It's the life in your years."

"That, according as it is written, He that glorieth,

let him glory in the Lord." (1st Corinthians 1:31)

No matter how small in physical stature a person might be he loves to glory in self.  If it is not self, he will pick out someone or something to glory in.  It might be all the possessions that he owns, it might be his wealth, his house or his car, but man will glory and take glory upon himself.  Paul says, "He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."  The religious world today say that they glory in the Lord, but do they?  We say that we glory in the Lord but do we?  There seems to be a side of man from a natural standpoint that desires to glory in himself.  Look what I have done.  Look at all the good that I have done for others.  Look at the vanity of man as he tries to steal glory from God.  Preachers of the world try to take the glory of saving a person knowing all the time that salvation is of the Lord.  Well maybe I did not really save him, but God used me to get the job done.  Vanity, vanity, saith the preacher, all is vanity.  When we think we can help God do his work, we are then putting ourselves on the same level with God.  Man has nothing of himself that deserves any glory, we are still at our best, unworthy and undone sinners but for the grace of God.  It is God that creates, it is God that spoke the world into being and it is God and God alone that keeps and preserves his creation.  Everything that we have or will ever have comes down  from God channeled down through his Son Jesus Christ.
