Elder George Walker (dec)

"Who was delivered for our offences, and raised again for our justification.” (Romans 4:25) Just a short thought in passing this morning as we read this verse. "Who was delivered for our offences." There those that feel that they have to deliver Christ to you through the gospel that you might have a chance to being delivered. We are not speaking about us delivering Christ, but speaking about Christ being delivered unto us. Christ did not come by accident, but was sent, was delivered and he came freely. He says; "They take not my life, I lay it down, I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again." This was done because of our offences, because of our sins and through his deliverance we stand just before God. And because we were made just Christ was raised again, and that resurrection declared us just.

Charity  agape

Elder John (Pat) Young

Love, that is affection or benevolence; specifically (plural) a love feast: - (feast of) charity (or charitably), dear, love.

This little word is found just 28 times in the Scriptures. All of which, are defining the same word (charity); or agape love, which is set as, noting the Love of God, in virtually every application; the love which is of God and rises from the depths of heart and soul, to the influence of the mind, that we love God, and cry out “abba Father;” and we are those whom He loves and who are His own: Those whom He hath chosen in Christ; to be His heirs, even joint-heirs with Him, for He suffered for us that we should be also glorified together with Him in Heaven... see Rom. 8:17 What a Savior; what an awesome “agape” love!
