Being Made Free |

Romans 7:24,25 & 8:1,2 O
wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body
of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So
then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with
the flesh, the law of sin.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
These four verses of Scripture
have expressed such a clear statement to me, of a great
question, with the answer so wonderful to see and meditate
upon with joy: Who shall delver me from the body of this
death? We can rejoice with great thanksgiving, that our Lord
Jesus Christ has delivered us from the law of sin and death,
to the law of the spirit of life in Him, which promises
everlasting freedom from the law of sin and death; He will
give us to live in the comfort of His truth, and the joy of
fellowship among His saints while we live, dwelling in the
security of the eternal promise of Heaven's pure world, in
the ages without end to come. The tender care, and holy
freedom of another law: “The Law of the Spirit of Life in
Christ!” A law which has made us free from the law of sin
and death. The Lord has visited upon our hearts and minds,
the knowledge of our depravity; and hast taught us the
beauty of a life liberty in Christ while we live here, under
the guidance of Divine Truth; being taught of Him, to know
and understand how we were lost and ruined in our depravity,
but may now go forth in understanding, knowing we have been
taught of God and prepared by His mercy and grace to go
forth in thanks giving, ready vessels, to receive our
heart's desire, that we might know Him as our Lord and King
through the great truths of His gospel!
Let us go forward in the truth, being made free from the
bondage of the law of sin, into the awesome condition in
which we now dwell, simply by the reason, of one thing we
are given by Him who hath made us free indeed; “Liberty!”
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath
made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of
bondage. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast in the perfect liberty
of the sons of God. Walk free in Christ from the yoke of the
law; rejoice in all the times, when the truths of God are
proclaimed; and the glory of His manifested presence known
by His Holy Spirit in the worshiping of His Great Name. In a
daily walk in liberty and peace like David must have felt in
his words to the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, in Psalm
119:1-8; where he confirmed his dedication and privilege, to
walk obediently in the peace of his faithfulness to the Lord
God; concluding with his promise to God in verse eight:
“I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.”
(Which we conclude, David is saying please don't leave me
forsaken or without Thee!) “He won't!”
