Points to Ponder Adoption

ADOPTION: Is found to be one major procedure for acquiring an estate, even spiritually. So, here is the list; by birth, by marriage, by Will and by ADOPTION which is divided into COVENANT – Eph. 1:5; then LEGAL – Gal. 4:5, then VITAL – Rom. 8:15 and finally the most glaring is GLORIFIED adoption of the Body – Rom. 8:23. Now read for a closing point – Rom. 8:17 then see the particular context of John 3:16.

   Son, the world can give you a ton of information about things you didn't know; but you are the one that is responsible for what you know and do.

Son, be careful when you are just doing what is popular to do; ‘cause when you get into trouble, all those you were being impressed by, might suddenly disappear.

LIKE DADDY USED TO SAY

Son, being responsible, is sometimes a hard thing to do;

because the first requirement of being responsible, is

being honest, and most importantly to yourself.

The Apostle Paul writes 6 chapters to the Galatian Church he initially set-up, because they had been preached to in error, mixing Old Testament laws of Moses into the New Testament Church. His detailed letter teaches that MIXING works with GRACE is not in harmony with the doctrine of ‘Grace only by Jesus Christ.’ He outlines their errors up through chapter 3, then in chapter 4 compliments them for listening to his earlier instructions and enjoins them to stand fast in the liberty of Grace only, and never be entangled again with the yoke of bondage (chapter 5). Then in chapter 6 he instructs them to restore anyone from his previous faults, by those who are sound in the Truth, but it should be done in meekness. We should all follow these same instructions.

Saturday, May the 30th, 2009 under clear skies, wind is calm, with the temperature at sixty-seven degrees.                  Brother George Walker

"And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:42-43)

There are some that would question the King James text and say that one translation is as good as the other. Notice the structure of the sentence of verse forty-three; Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Notice where the comma is. It is after the word thee, and before today. Now let us move the comma to after the word to day, Now read with me; "Verily I say unto thee to day, shalt thou be with me in paradise." Now you can see the difference how that just moving a comma can change the structure of the sentence to mean something else. The change that was made changed the meaning from being in paradise today to a later date. Just a thought on the spur of the moment.
