Perfect Wisdom

Perfect in prescience and ability to teach;
Perfect creation with all in its reach;
Perfect in reasoning and knowledge was there;
Perfect recollection never failed to repair;
Perfect in Jehovah before works of old,
When there was no heavens nor fountains or sea;
When all was in God, and of Him to be.

Perfect wisdom is in God alone. We, in life, may be blessed with a portion of knowledge and the wisdom to use it through faith, experience or revelation; but God does not need experience to know what the outcome of His actions will be: Perfect Wisdom!

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him." (Ephesians 1:17)

Through the years the first chapter of Ephesians has been one of my favorite places to just sit and meditate upon.  It covers so many areas of the doctrine and almost seems complete in itself.  After Paul establishes the doctrines of grace, of election, of the effective call of God's children, redemption, predestination, the forgiveness of sin, and what our inheritance is.  Then he  brings forth his prayer for the saints of God that we might be given the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.  Also that we might know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.  As we continue in this chapter it just gets better and better.  Then ends with, "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all."

It just don't get any better than that.

The Wind

John 3:8 – “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth; so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

The first time WIND is mentioned in God’s Holy Word (KJT) is found in Gen. 8:1 – “And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and GOD MADE A WIND TO PASS OVER the earth, and the waters asswaged.”

Exegesis would require us to conclude that the WIND is not sovereign nor independent, as GOD Himself CAUSED the RULES OF THE WEATHER – meteorology – and thereby can “cause the wind to pass over.” Wind is mentioned all through the OT and also in the NT

However the thrust of this writing is to establish the continuous fact that WIND is NOT independent nor sovereign. All WEATHER factors are GUIDED by THE CREATOR and CONTROLLER, who is God in the works of the Holy Spirit. At anytime that suits the Holy Trinity’s objectives He becomes THE CONTROLLER, even in that of the NEW BIRTH.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight;" (2nd Corinthians 5:7)

 Sometimes we get the idea that we will or can prove to everyone that God is real, that Jesus is the Son of God, that Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures and he did.   But to those that are void of faith can not believe because they have no faith.  Faith is a fruit of the spirit, therefore if a person is not born of God, he has no faith and can not believe that Jesus is the Christ.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and evidence of things not seen.  You see, we are able to see God through an eye of faith.  "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
