In
recent days I saw an advertisement for a documentary
on television titled: In Search of God. This
documentary, is supposed to give the viewer (doubt I
will be one of them) an understanding who God is, by
looking at the various religions of the world, and
coming to a logical conclusion by establishing a
common definition across them all; whether idol
worshipers, spiritualists, or religions based on
corrupted interpretations of Bible truth; as to just
who God is. |
In
Search of God?
Elder John Young |
My first
observation of this project is: For what need?
There is no need to search for an Omnipresent God,
because there is no place where He is not. So,
anyone who does not know where God is, is one to
whom God has not revealed Himself; and no amount of
carnal searching will lead to a knowledge of God,
unless He first has given spiritual life and the
ability to discern His words and thoughts to the
seeker.
Secondly: Who is
God? God is the Great I AM The One and only
self-existent eternal Spirit; by whom all things
consist. He is One who has declared Himself to be a
Spirit and only seeks such as do worship Him in
Spirit and in truth. He is One who has never learned
anything; been mistaken in anything, or forgotten
anything; He doeth according to His will in the
army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the
earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him,
What doest thou? Dan 4:35
Thirdly: God is not who we think we want Him to
be; but rather Whom He declares Himself to be.
All power, love, knowledge, wisdom, glory, honour
and salvation is in Him to work according to the
counsel of His own will, in what Divine office He
has before ordained to work; whether Father, Son or
Holy Spirit. Never for man's praise or sacrifice to
any object god or ritual. God is the God of gods!

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed
by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not
made of things which do appear." (Hebrews 11:3)
As trying to explain this
verse although difficult as it is, we still have verse one
that tells us that faith is the evidence of things not seen.
As we look back to the beginning, we find that God took
nothing and made something out of it. That something that
God made was the heaven and the earth. Then we find that God
took the earth that was made out of nothing and made man.
Can we not say that man made was made out of nothing. Yet we
still understand that God made man out of the dust of the
earth that was created out of nothing. Everything that we
are able to see, the earth, man, trees, stars and all that
make up this world God spoke into existence. Yet through
faith, the things that we can not see with our natural eyes
gives us the evidence that God said and it came to past.

About
Telling Lies
|
Sometimes
people tell lies, because they don't know the truth.
Sometimes people tell lies, because they don't like the
truth.
Sometimes people tell lies, because the truth hurts.
Sometimes people lie, when the truth would be just as good
or better.
Sometimes people lie, because it will let them do what the
truth won't.
Telling a lie might delay us getting in trouble, but it
won't get us the forgiveness we need.
Telling lies are things you only get better at with
practice.
Telling lies are like a chain; one just links up with
another. |
