Thoughts on Time
Salvation |

It might well be, that I am
one of the weakest of the many good Elders we have among us,
to write on the subject of Time Salvation.
Time Salvation is an evident
truth, which is taught and set forth in the word of God, and
is vital to the understanding of the truth of God's Holy
Word. Every time the act of saving or being saved is set
forth, it does not evidently result in an eternal
consequence.
Therefore, there are times
when salvation is speaking to an eternal consequence or
salvation; and there are times were the children of God in
time, might be saved or delivered by Providential grace in
time, to an estate or place in time, of blessing and
spiritual graces; or, in other words, saved from one
condition in time to another condition in time.
Perhaps one (there are many)
good example of “Time Salvation” is found in Luke chapter
15, concerning the parable of the prodigal son. Here we find
a godly family, which is in a blessed state of existence,
and at peace. The younger of the sons, took his portion of
inheritance, and went into another country, where he lived a
life of sin. But, when he had spent all, “he realized,” who
he was, and where his home really was, and repented in
bitter tears, of his shame and how he had reproached his
family. When he went home in repentance to his father, just
look at the experience of being saved to the love and grace
of his father. Time salvation, is just a taste of the
goodness, providence and graces of God, while live among our
kindred here! |
