2023 marks the 20th Anniversary for Zion's Lamp. Several Primitive Baptist publications have ended their efforts in the past 20 years.  As time and technology change, the future of a printed publication looks bleak.  We've attempted to bridge the gap by offering an online electronic version of the quarterly publication and a convenient Flipbook model that can be accessed by mobile or tablet as well.

Our prayer is the light provided by Zion's Lamp might continue until the Lord returns.

"I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me, for I have redeemed thee." (Isaiah 44:22)

Here, this is pointed toward the coming of Christ and his finished work on the tree of the cross that secured our salvation. He Says; "I have blotted out thy transgressions," "I have blotted out thy sins," "For I have redeemed thee." By looking at these three statements, they are statements of fact. This shows us that this was done, this was complete which brought forth redemption. This also shows us ownership, and it shows that we have been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. So if our transgressions and our sins have been blotted out, then it stands to reason that our sins will not be used against us no more. So if we return unto him or not, does not change the fact that we have been redeemed. But Oh the blessings that we have in Christ as we turn from our wicked ways as we live here in this time world.

  • Son, just remember: “A lot of people start the year with a resolution to serve God better; and they might get away with it if they had promised  it to some body else.

  • Son, we all want to be good Momma's and Daddy's, but just remember: “Kids are people too!” They like to be encouraged, loved and given presents  just like we do, maybe more, but you are the one who sets the rules for them: “Expect results, but remember patience.“

Friday, the ninth of January, 2009 under clear skies, wind from the south-east at eighteen mph, with the temperature at sixty-nine degrees.

"By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: He layette up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him."
(Psalms 33:6-8)

Does not this sound a lot better than what we hear and see on television, and what our children are taught in the school systems, that things just happen without any order to it? Well, even the first storehouse was made by the Lord. The word of the Lord, the breath of his mouth has done all this. "For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." (verse nine) By using scripture this morning explains a lot better than we can how things, the stars, the planets, the earth, the heavens, the hills, the mountains, the valleys and even the Grand Canyon. Most of all, all manner of life.
