The term “Reverse Engineering” commonly is defined as the disassembly of some component assembly, and re-assembling it, to discover how the components were made (engineered) to fit together.

Sometimes we can look at the created truth of God, in the Holy Scripture, and “Reverse Engineer” what is the perfect design of the only perfect Designer who ever existed: The Lord Himself. Look at Rom. 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

It concludes with: “them who are the called according to His purpose.” Not the non-elect, but the elect of God only are called according to His eternal purpose. Then next says: “To them that love God.” Only the regenerated elect can love God. Then moving again backward it says: “All things work together for good.” "Only the things of God can work together for good;" for there is none good but God. Finally the beginning of the verse: “And we know.” By the perfect interceding and instruction of the of the Spirit According to (or in agreement with) the will of God.

So maybe the intended message of this verse from the perfect author of truth was: “So we know, by the perfect interceding and instruction of the Spirit, according to the will of God; how only the things of God can work together for good, for there is none good but God; how only the regenerated elect can love God, and how they only are the called according to His eternal purpose.”
