"And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great
joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is
born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11)
The day finally come that all
was looking forward to, the Christ had come. Yet it
might not have been as they had come to believe, but the
greatest of all gifts had come into the world. If we
could picture in our minds of what what had just taken place
before them. This was good news, this is the theme of
the gospel I bring you good tidings of great joy.
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a
Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." I may stand back
and look upon this day and all we may see is a babe lying in
a manger, but oh so more than that, he is the lamb of God
that took away the sin of the world. He is the King of
kings and Lord of Lords. He is God with us, he is the
great (I Am), he is the Son of God, and he is God manifested
in the flesh. In John chapter one we read, "And the
Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth."
